Affiliate Disclosure

How SkinRevu earns from links — and why it never changes what we write.

Short version: Some links on SkinRevu go to retailers. If you buy through one of those links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Every product reviewed on this site was personally purchased and tested. Commissions never influence ratings, recommendations, or editorial content.

Who We Are

SkinRevu is an independent K-beauty and J-beauty skincare review site run from the UK. All products are personally purchased and tested on combination skin. We have no brand partnerships, no sponsored posts, and no PR samples.

What Are Affiliate Links?

An affiliate link is a tracked URL to a retailer's website. When you click one and make a purchase, the retailer pays SkinRevu a small referral commission — typically 2–10% of the sale price. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use an affiliate link or go directly to the retailer.

Affiliate links on SkinRevu may point to retailers including, but not limited to:

Affiliate links are not marked individually on the site, but you can assume that any link to a retailer product page may be an affiliate link.

How This Affects Our Reviews

It doesn't. Every product reviewed on SkinRevu was purchased with our own money before any affiliate relationship existed. Ratings are based entirely on personal experience — ingredients, texture, results, value, and repurchasability. A product that earns a higher commission gets the same honest review as one that earns nothing.

We do not accept free products, sponsored content, or paid placements. If that ever changes, it will be clearly labelled.

Advertising

SkinRevu displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. These are contextual ads based on page content and, where applicable, your browser settings. Ad revenue is separate from affiliate commissions. Advertisers have no influence over editorial content.

You can manage your Google ad personalisation settings at adssettings.google.com.

UK ASA Compliance

SkinRevu complies with the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) CAP Code and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. Affiliate relationships constitute a material connection between SkinRevu and the retailers linked. This page constitutes our standing disclosure in accordance with those regulations.

If you have a question about a specific link or piece of content, please contact us.
